I was reported because I made the latest update which was not supported by the team I tried to sup. Despite I tried to help, it ended up in being reported.

 

Would it be possible to check that version of tf2 from server and player fit before allowing the connection?

Really not worth worrying about. Getting reported every once in a while won't cause any problems, and nobody cares about reliability unless it's super low.
