Lobby #96664.

 

He was the leader and kicked our medic during setup time. He then took 5 minutes to restart the config despite people asking him to do that immedietly.

First of all, what happened there was a misunderstanding and a terrible mistake made by me.

 

I'm sorry if I disturbed and players today. I fell in love with TF2 Center's easy lobby system and it inspired me to rent a server. So, I did rent one. This was my first attempt to host a lobby on my OWN server, and I failed pretty hard. I did something wrong with rcon and it just messed up the whole config. However, my friends on the server helped me to fix it (it took longer than expected). But after all, we were able to play the game without a problem.

 

And about that "!kick Bruno" command. I'm going to be completely honest here, I didn't know that you could kick someone using chat. I thought that console was for this server stuff. As you can see in the picture Piste linked, we were joking with my friend "Bruno" saying he's OP and he should be banned. So, everybody wrote !kick Bruno in chat. And eventually, I ended up writing it too. He got kicked out and we had to find a sub.

 

And my friend "Hakan" or you may prefer his nickname "puro", (he was using the name "TTNet" to show his anger for his internet provider, TTnet for providing a slow internet connection) was just writing funny stuff in chat WITHOUT offending people to make us laugh. And I guarantee you 1/3 of that lobby were my friends. So, they thought it was funny too. He got banned for 2 days and he didn't do anything wrong in my opinion. Just to let you know, many people do this on TF2 Center and they don't mean to offend anyone. I want justice for my friend. It's his first time getting a warning like this and he won't do it again. Let us play with out friends this weekend, please.

As I said, I'm so sorry for what happened. But I didn't know what I was doing. I finally learned some stuff and I now run a pretty decent server. Thank you TF2 Center members and Admins/Moderators for being this active and letting us play and have fun. After all, Isn't that what TF2 is all about?

Unban requests are made in the unban request section of the forum.

 

But I'll save you some time to tell you this: they are banned for spam and staff impersonation. They undeniably did it, and they've got to pay the price. It's only a 2 day ban, just wait it out. Saying 'everyone does it' is not only false, but also justifies absolutely nothing. Even if it makes (somehow) 1/3 of the people laugh, it's a huge pain for everyone else.

Messing up a lobby unintentionally is one thing, and you'll notice you aren't banned for that. Learn how to use a server and everything will be just fine.
