I was thinking about it (don't ask why), but I think the North and South American flags shouldn't be just one country. It should be at least the top three populated countries in the continents. I made one for North America: Canada, USA, and Mexico. As well as one for South America: Brazil, Columbia, and Argentina. I just think that it would look nicer, and be better in general.

I understand your concerns. But the flags on TF2C are merely conventionality behind which are hiding several reasons:

1. Usability. It is much easier for a human eyes to percieve something familiar and recognisable. Especially than it comes down to a small size. Try to resize your flags to a required size and you'll get the unrecognisable mess of pixels.
2. USA and Brazil are largest countries on both continents.
3. Vast majority of NA players are from USA.
