I was banned from all mumble-required servers for "failure to use mumble".

I have been in mumble for all of the lobbies I have played in so far, including the non-required ones. I think that the issue may be caused by me not using the same name for both steam and the mumble? I am not sure, however I really dislike that I am being falsely banned from using your service on mumble-required servers, which I want to play on specifically due to them being much more team-based.

You got an automated mumble "cooldown" ban for 30 minutes.  It is no longer active, of course.

 

I have seen a lot of this, and if you follow these steps, I am certain that you will not get auto mumble banned:

 

1. Use the most up-to-date mumble client

2. Don't use very tricky network tricks. e.g. VPNs, etc.

3. use mumble from the same computer you are playing with

4. do not mute, do not deafen.

5. Get in before the match starts.  Leave after the match ends.  After TF2Center says it has ended.

6. don't leave in the middle (e.g. to restart.)  Automated systems do not understand "reasons."
