Hey, we talked in Steam chats, but I'll re-cap here. I don't know the lobby #/ID this was. The day was Mar. 16, 10 minutes after this thread was made.

User Collycat aka Lieutenant Hdg3e is now banned from TF2Center.com for the period of 2 weeks. We have found that Collycat has been repeatedly abusing the privilege of lobby leader and therefore is Permanently banned from lobby creation.

 

In addition, the user Opte has been found to be abusing rcon in connected incidents and is therefore banned for a period of 1 week.

 

Both users are reminded that evading a ban by use of alternate accounts will result in increased ban lengths.

I'd like to say that collycat and I turned on sv_cheats to use the mp_forcewin command to end the lobby, not to get cheats, after turning on friendly fire to have a bit of fun in a lobby. I don't understand why dicking around in the end of a roll lobby is a reason for a ban and I'm a little upset I didn't get to defend myself.

If you are ending a lobby there is no reason to use sv_cheats, the lobby leader is provided with a button on the lobby webpage to close the lobby. The logs aren't always the full picture, however in this case it was obvious that someone was upset by rcon abuse and you were clearly shown in the logs to be using rcon for malicious purposes.

 

There is a clear line between when the lobby is running and after it is over. You are 100% welcome to re ready up after the lobby has finished and mess around, but until then lobby leaders are expected to foster a competitive environment we are trying to create with TF2Center lobbies. It is important that there is a consistent quality with all of our lobbies.

 

If you wish to appeal your ban, please make a thread in the unban requests forums and a shortening of you ban may be considered after further review. This thread is now locked.
