it was a mumble required lobby. We only had like 4-5 people in mumble, so I wouldn't ready up. they then kicked me. pretty obvious rep abuse.

yeah let me just allow the server I pay for to be used by a bunch of trolls who kicked me. Nah actually I'd rather make a new lobby that I wasn't banned from.

TERRY CREWS if they want to act like children and report the server owner for trying to get everyone in mumble, in a mumble REQUIRED lobby, then they don't deserve the privilege of playing on his server.

Hello all,

 

A user named "Flip" was the demo on my team and he/she was delaying the game and the ready up process. Reasoning was because 3-5 people were not in mumble. There is no rule that states users are required to join mumble in the rules on the tf2center.com page. If there is a rule on this, it is not communicated well from the tf2center staff. The lobby page states "you are expected to join mumble" not "you are required to join mumble."

 

This, however, is in the rules:

 

6. Closing Lobbies

The close lobby function is only permissible where there is an obvious issue with the lobby and a majority of players are calling for closure. This does not include when your team is losing or you personally are not having a good time. You may close the lobby when there are multiple sub spots that are not being filled and this is causing disruption to the gameplay of the lobby.

 

If anything, this ban request should be for yourself because you closed the lobby after you were reported. People reported you because you were delaying the game; therefore you were acting as you were "AFK." It shouldn't matter if you pay for the server, you are providing it to a third party known as tf2center.com which will host 18 players per lobby.

 

So, no one should be banned because you were delaying the game and you were reported for being AFK. Also you broke an official rule by closing the lobby manually without any reason.

Looking at the logs, he was clearly not AFK Oddish.

As for closing the lobby, it is being debated (and has for awhile) in the members lounge about whether creating a new lobby if being !repped out of your own is against the rules.
 
Its (currently) not. Flip pays for the server, was clearly not AFK, and was unfairly !repped out of the lobby.

 

Also, it was a mumble required lobby. Flip was kind enough to only unready since people weren't in mumble. He is allowed to kick the players who weren't in mumble, and chose not too.
 
That being said, everyone who was part of the !repping part has earned Three Day Join Lobby Bans for !rep abuse.
 
This type of behavior will not be tolerated.
