I've been playing lobbies for quite a while, and I've had this problem a few times (around 4-5). Sometimes during 6s lobbies, for example, a Red pocket soldier will leave and people will report accordingly. In my case, where I usually play roamer, people will accidentally report me instead of the pocket soldier on accident, and thus kicks me off due to a sub. When people realize it is an accident, they have no choice in removing a report. Would there be any way to implement that?

It seems to me that it would be pretty complicated for everyone. Also, it would be unfair to the sub who joined. It would be smarter to try to prevent errors from happening.

Having an in-game menu for repping with the player's names might help

Not if they removed the report before a sub was found.  Even if it is "unfair" to the sub who joined, isn't it more unfair to the guy who waited a long period of time for the lobby to start to be kicked than it is for the guy who didn't have to wait at all?

I think having a better way of reporting like a menu would be soo much easier and effective. A lot of people always report the wrong teams players because they don't understand how the reporting works.

A menu requires the server operator to install a particular plugin (I think). However, since a lot of people use serverme.tf, we might be able to ask them to install a 'TF2C' plugin.

I'd install one on my server. It would make things much more simple.

One thing which would reduce the number of mistakes made during reporting quite a lot would be to announce in chat, when the first report is made, who the report is about:

"You are reporting Loveclop, who is currently in-game"

The use of the "!rep our dude" syntax should help with this.

Though I do like Loveclop's idea.

+1 for Loveclop

We will currently implement "!rep our med" and "!rep their scout". Just to make sure everything works, we will also display the affected players name. Should clear everything up without the need of a plugin.

Btw, these changes are scheduled for tomorrows deploy.
