You know how fat kid mixes work? You get into a team, then when 9 join you get to choose a slot in a priority order. You can pick priority at random or for example allow the most inexperienced kids pick first. You get to pick a slot for 10 seconds or get random spot.

 

Could be fun. Help reduce slot stacking mains. Get rid of those no medic-heavy-engi lobbies during the day.
