Tips wise I can't help you.

Badges wise however, they are given for participation in the Competitive leagues. These can be UGC, ETF2L, ozFortress, AsiaFortress and numerous others. They are divided by region with UGC being the main force in North America and ETF2L having a huge chunk of Europe. By participating in one full season, you are eligible for a medal. UGC however has changed their policy because Valve doesnt like adding so many new items, they are now using the same medal design throughout each year and distribute the medals infrequently.

UGC: http://ugcleague.com/

ETF2L: http://etf2l.org/

ozFortress: http://ozfortress.com/

AsiaFortress: http://asiafortress.....php/index.html

Good luck and welcome to the competitive scene!

thats cuz you're a hl spy newbie ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Anyways here are some desc for the main classes:

Scout - You need much more experience to play this class. In highlander, all you do is push the cart and cap, but in 6s, you need to protect the flanks and to annoy your enemies. You also need to know when to kill and when not to kill.

Roamer - The "free style" soldier. You always need to wear gunboats to get around quickly. You need to be good at jumping and killing the med. Don't stick with your med unless you need heals; always stick with your scouts. Know every map's rollout.

Pocket - Your job is to stick with your med. You will mostly use shotgun, but if you are experienced enough, you can go gunboats pocket, although it's not recommended. Don't stick with the scouts, stick with your med.

Demo - You have to weaken the other team up so they can't push that easily. That means you have to do lots of damage. The recommended amount of dpm is around 300. Stick with your med mostly, but you can transition to sticking with your scouts. Know every map's rollout.

Med - SO much easier than highlander. You won't have people getting mad at you very much, and healing is a lot easier. Just heal your demo first in rollout, then roamer, then scout, roamer, and then pocket. When you get to the mid fight, be super aggressive since you regen health. Don't be afraid to pop when you are <50 and you know you are about to die.
