I know I probably sound like a noob but whenever I click connect my tf2 says "bad password".

 

This is probably a simple mistake but I have only ever played pub games, I haven't used password to join servers.

Oh this happens quite often. I don't think it's a problem with the site, it means that the server password has changed since the lobby was opened so when TF2center tries to connect you with the old password you get the "bad password" error. Best thing to do in this situation is probably to just leave and alert other players who may try to take the sub spot that the lobby failed.
