I know this maybe kinda hard or impossible to do, but since I like to rreview my trickstabs via sourcetv demos, it would be a really handy tool to have that available. I believe someone in spectator does the same job as stv, so iunno

The STV demos are stored locally on a server, they're really big files.

In order to download them, you need to have access to the STV directory on the gameserver. you can imagine a lot of hosters don't really like that idea.

So, the logical thing is to rehost them, right?

Well, as it turns out, a lot of really big files cost a lot of disk space, and direct access to the STV directory.

Two things that are problematic if you're working with a huge number of different server providers. There are some inferior log plugins that rehost the STV to amazon free hosting, but that requires a server provider to install that beforehand.

Luckily, a lot of games are played on serveme, who have made an STV service for the server that are managed by it. You can download them by browsing to the serveme portal of your region, click on reservations and select recent reservations you played in.

Would it be possible to add a list of active TF2 centers' Source TV? Obviously people should also be able to see who's in each game and their stats. Perhaps you can also give them access to delayed mumble comms (i know this is possible because my friend's mumble has it for spectators). I think it would probably help out big time with the growth of the site. Good spectator options are important :)

The problem with Source TV is that not all servers have it enabled. Also, I highly doubt TF2C will attempt to host every possible lobby's STV, even for 1 hour. Given that sizzling stats exists, this isn't a priority.

Still requires the server administrator to manually install a plugin, and this obviously isn't what we're looking for

This has crossed our minds, and is one of the more viable implementations we want set up in the near future. We want to set up a relay system first, so the gameservers won't feel an impact of us dropping a bunch of viewers on them.

Serveme is a free service where some server owners donate their servers to Arie. There are still a huge number of servers not being rented through it.

This is not technically trivial, and it would only be for Advanced Lobbies.
