I have an issue with joining mumble

[2:19:09 PM]

[2:19:09 PM] Connecting to server mumble.tf2center.com.

[2:19:39 PM] Disconnected from server.

[2:23:15 PM] Connecting to server mumble.tf2center.com.

[2:23:23 PM] Mumble failed to retrieve version information from the central server.

[2:23:45 PM] Disconnected from server.

[2:29:09 PM] Connecting to server mumble.tf2center.com.

[2:29:39 PM] Disconnected from server.

This is the whole log when trying to join the mumble server.

I have unchecked quality of service box in the network settings

Is this still a problem? Some googling suggests this comes up when there are routing problems between you and the server. If not, let me know the username you would connect with and I'll take a look in mumble logs to see if there's anything there.

I'm getting this same issue. I've tried everything I could find on Google to fix the issue, but it's no use.

Quote from another post from Kino:

Hello,

It's been 5 days now, and I've gotten no solution to this issue what-so-ever.

To keep it short and simple, my Mumble will not connect to mumble.tf2center.com at all. My Mumble connects to any other server just fine, but not to TF2Center's.

I've tried as much as I can to fix this issue.

  • Uninstalling and reinstalling it, several times.
  • Making a new "profile" for Mumble.
  • Yes, I have "closed and re-opened it".
  • I've restarted my router.
  • I've put in the info several different times.
  • I updated the version from the previous to 1.2.6.

The only thing that is logical at this point is that the port is being blocked by my ISP, but I highly doubt that since it was working perfectly fine before.

Is there ANY way that the admins can give me an explanation or a solution or something to this? It's become very frustrating.

I understand this has to be approved to be displayed, but if it's not displayed could I atleast get an add of some sort or a message giving me at least a tiny message for help?

I'm on the forum almost every single day, so I will reply to anything given to this thread if there is anything given to this thread.

Thank you,

Kino.

I get this too, but not all the time. Most of the time it works.

When the problem is happening, it will connect for a few minutes, disconnect, reconnect, etc.

NA mumble seems like a good solution.

I think DnL's problem might be different.

I think it may have to do with the certificate. Is there a way you can delete it on your end so I can create a new one? or sumethin' ...you probably know more about this than me...

All users have been de-registered from the mumble server. If you want to generate a new certificate for yourself then that's a clientside thing, but shouldn't affect this.

Please give me your IP address and a rough time you tried connecting, and I'll look in server logs.

I can join any other mumble servers, not TF2Centers.

[11:26:03 AM] Connecting to server mumble.tf2center.com.

[11:26:33 AM] Server connection failed: Connection timed out.

I can't find any solution. This has happened over months on two computers with/without using the join mumble feature.

As of mid/late May, the Join mumble button does not work. I must open mumble and connect to tf2center manually (I have it saved for convenience now) and find the right lobby. My game does not connect to the server when the match starts, and reconnect does not work. I must also connect to the server manually.

Chrome, Windows 8.1. adblock disabled.

Every time i attempt to connect to the tf2center mumble server, i get a connection timed out error. It happens for every lobby and its getting annoying since most lobbies i find require mumble. I tried re-installing the application, restarting my computer and changing the firewall settings and nothing wont work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advanced.

hi, I've been having this problem ever since i started using tf2center. Whenever I try to connect to the mumble server, all i get this it times out. Its strange because i am able to connect to other mumble servers very quickly. Also, i dont know if this has anything to do with this, whenever I close the program while it is still trying to connect to tf2 center, it says that I am already connected to the server and if im sure I want to quit. Thanks for helping
