Not entirely sure where to post this but anyways.

I was trying to connect to the TF2center mumble as I was in a badlands match but it was unable to connect? tried reconnecting multiple times and nothing so it was a problem. Any ideas on this would be great.

Hi Diotoir,

Could you please try running a traceroute to our mumble server address: mumble.tf2center.com

When complete, can you please paste the results here in a reply.

If you are unsure how to perform a traceroute, see below

Windows

  1. Open the Start menu
  2. Click on Run
  3. Type cmd and then press the OK button to open a command prompt
  4. At the prompt, type tracert mumble.tf2center.com and press the Enter key
  5. To copy the output, right-click anywhere in the window and select Mark. You can press Enter to copy all of the output, or select the text you want to copy and then right-click with your mouse. Paste the copied text by hitting CTRL + V.

Linux

  1. Open a terminal window
  2. Type traceroute mumble.tf2center.com at the prompt and press the Enter key

Mac OS

  1. Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Network Utility -> Traceroute
  2. Type the domain or IP address in the appropriate input field and press Trace. You can also open a terminal window and use the same instructions as you would for performing a traceroute in Linux.

Sounds like your DNS is a bit screwy, most likely from your ISP.

Can you connect to mumble manually? IP: 198.100.150.24 Port: 64738

it worked.

So if I join a lobby that has mumble will I need to manually join the correct channel?

Or find out how to fix your DNS settings (as you can join on IP, but not on names)
