Hey Guys,

 

I'm new to the Forum Posting on TF2Centre, so sorry if I post in the wrong section, e.t.c

 

I've been looking forward to playing some lobbies, but what I have found is that I can ready up, it opens my Mumble and TF2, I join the server, I join the correct team, and as soon as I pick the class I assigned myself too on the lobby page..BAM! My TF2 crashes, and I get really annoyed as I am reported and replaced by a substitute even though I waited half an hour for the match to start. 

 

Can someone experienced with TF2Centre please explain to me what I can do to fix this? I was really looking forward to making a start in the competitive scene.

This is likely a bug with your TF2; does this also happen on pubs?

I'm having this problem also. I join the server pick a class then the connection warning error comes up and I time out. then i rejoin and nothing happens

No, I can join any and all pubs normally. It is just on TF2 Center, my TF2 seems to bug out. I looked online and found that Mumble might be the problem, so I switched off the overlay. I need to try closing Mumble all together but I am on holiday at the moment

Mumble sounds like a likely cause. All TF2Center is doing here is connecting you to a server, so there isn't much we could do to cause problems with your game itself. Mumble overlay does cause problems for some people, so its a good place to start looking!

Hey Guys,

Sorry for not responding, I have fixed the problem! I looked in my TF2 config and noticed that in every "class.cfg" there was an auto-reload script I must have put in a while back. I don't know why it was in there but I removed it and loaded up a lobby and now it works! I have played my first 9 lobbies and I love the competitive feel to it!
