I am and have been unable to connect to the tf2center mumble for the last two or three days

[4:25:45 PM] Connecting to server mumble.tf2center.com.

[4:26:15 PM] Server connection failed: Connection timed out.

[4:26:26 PM] Reconnecting.

[4:26:56 PM] Server connection failed: Connection timed out.

I've been consistently getting this issue, but I have no issue connecting to different mumbles.

Not sure what's wrong, and I've talked to a moderator about it and he has no idea whats wrong either.

I've tried connecting through "Join Mumble" and manually through the address+port.

I've reinstalled the application AND I've restarted my computer

Still running into this issue.

Please help! :)

I've tried to work with Thimble on this one. Here's the things that we've tried out:

  1. Restarting mumble.
  2. Checking his IP against the ban list
  3. Creating a new mumble certificate
  4. Pinging to mumble.tf2center.com (which worked)
  5. Reinstalling mumble
  6. Rebooting his computer

To be quite honest, I'm out of ideas for Thimble. He can ping the mumble, but he can't join. It's very weird.

Only thing that's left is to check the instance of murmur to see what exactly happens when he connects.

Is he able to connect to other mumble servers?

Does he have a firewall enabled?

Has he tried TCP?

Yes, I am able to connect to other mumble servers.

Yes, I have a firewall enabled.

What is TCP?

EDIT: Turning off my firewall didn't seem to have an effect on the situation. Still connection issues regardless of firewall being on or off.

I force-TCP'd as well, and it didn't work.

I'm afraid this was pretty much all we could do; I need to refer you to the Mumble support desk, you may even want to try Google yourself...

I have version 1.2.5

and it says it's trying to connect to 1.2.0

could that be the problem?

Alright I fixed it

It was an issue with firewall settings on my router, rather than on my computer.

Please do make this noticeable for all! :)

Be a good boy and don't ever touch that stuff again, unless you actually know what you're doing.
