The flag should be a combination of the Canadian and American flag. Not that it is of utter importance but North America has quite a few Canadians who use this service (me being one of them.) I feel that we should be included in the flag rather than making it just putting off the american vibe.

But in all seriousness, Might be a good idea. Just split both flags down the middle and have American on the left and Canadian on the right.

Of course, now we need to change the flags of the other continents, like put the flag of Brazil, Chile and Argentina as SA, Australia and New Zealand as AU, all the countries of Asia as ASIA and all countries in Africa as AF (And why Tunisia flag symbolizes Africa, would not make sense to put the flag of South Africa?)

Also, Canada and the United States are not the only countries that exist, how about putting the flags of Mexico, Greenland, Bermuda and Saint Pierre et Miquelon?

No one would notice if you combined the NZ and AU flags.

But seriously, there is a fair amount of recognition that there is quite a few Canadian players in the North American scene (just the fact that it's North American TF2 instead of just American TF2 should show that) while I haven't heard of any Mexican players. I'm sure they exist, they are just a much smaller majority.

I don't think it matters too much in the end. It's probably just easier to pick the dominant country and use that.

I want to meet a TF2 player from Saint Pierre et Miquelon. I'm sure they'd be very upset at their under representation.

Yes, I agree with you, though not a big change, it would be nice to warn the "patriots" that there are people from other countries playing in TF2Center, and this is a small problem here in SA, since when people see the Brazilian flag think the lobby is Brazilian when it is actually Chilean, and as we have a bad internet, we get lag. If not a lot of work for the TF2C staff, I would like them to put the Chilean flag on the left, the Argentine flag in the center and the Brazilian flag on the right (Since we are the only nation that has SA players in the community). The funniest part should probably be Americans confuse the flag of Chile with the flag of Texas, though.

I also wanted to meet a player from Saint Pierre and Miquelon, and call him to a 1v1 duel in MGE :(

PS.: If you cut the AU flag (Left) and the NZ flag (Right) in a diagonal manner from left to right, bottom to top, the difference could be noticed (even if it is minimal, however)

TF2Center respects and opened for the players from worldwide. Usage of specific national flags to illustrate region is just a conventionality and shouldn't taken as discrimination of other countries. This conventionality is used to ease the life of the players, because 3-4 flags is much more easier to interpret than 20-30. Considering that average age of the players between 15-20 years, there is a great possibility that far not all of them are familar enough with geography to successfully interpret a lot of different flags and countries. Please, do not bring politics here. Let's keep this place clean from wars and political disagreements.
