Don't use a VPN or Proxy when connecting to TF2center or mumble. The IPs have to match.

The IP that you posted this forum post from (66.*.*.*) we've never seen on our mumble server.

During a Mumble required lobby, I briefly lost connection to my internet. Once it returned, I returned to Mumble and completed the game without being reported by my teammates (as my reliability did not go down). However, despite this, my my mumbility went up by one and therefore banned me from participating in Mumble required lobbies for 30 minutes.

I don't know if this is an intentional aspect or not of the system, but it's really quite a nuisance, considering I was in Mumble throughout the entirety of the lobby whilst my connection was available. Perhaps having Mumbility activate once the game has finished would slightly alleviate the issue at hand, or perhaps regular scans of the users active in the Mumble lobby to deduce whether a user is in Mumble or not.

The lobby number was #254956, and the logs are available here.

It appears that the majority of players that were in Mumble for the entirety of the game (possibly all players) obtained a heightened Mumbility rating, for some unknown reason. Could this possibly be a bug?

I left mumble mid-lobby yesterday because the majority of players were trolling.  I then received a 7-day ban from mumble-required lobbies.  The FAQ states this level of restriction should gradually build up, but I have never received a temporary ban.  I have been playing a few lobbies at night for the past week without any notification or ban from mumble-required lobbies.

Is the sudden / harsh ban a bug or what happened ?

I've joined Mumble for all 100+ lobbies that I've participated in, yet I just received a ban form joining Mumble-required servers. I understand that the ban was for 30 minutes, but I don't want to be punished in the future because of buggy implementation of features. Also, is there a way to ensure it doesn't happen again? I always join through the lobby page itself, and am never self-muted.

I've joined mumble 100% of the time for mumble required lobbies and probably 75% of the time for non-Mumble required lobbies.  Today my friend made a lobby and we both couldn't join it due to a Mumble ban.  I've also been unable to join other 6's mumble required lobbies as of today.  The only 3-4 lobbies I've played today were all mumble required ones and I joined mumble through the website  every time...

Somethings not working properly obviously.  I fully support the mumble ban thing, as long as it works properly and doesn't punish the innocent.

I have nearly 800 lobbies, and I join mumble in every single one of them. But occasionally my mumble disconnects for unknown reasons. Then I reconnect immediately, but I find at the end of the game that I incur a mumble ban.

This is unreasonable because Im not purposely avoiding mumble.

I have now turned on autorejoin with mumble to see if that helps, but for unkown reasons now mumble wont start up automatically at the start of a lobby.

Im saying I shouldnt be mumble banned for software issues that are beyond my understanding or control, when I do everything possible to be in mumble for every game.

please fix this somehow, so that you dont get a ban for being out of mumble for a few seconds.

thx

So I was in mumble, and apparently it didn't detect that I was in it?  Is there a way you can fix it, so it scans it better?  It says I haven't joined mumble twice when I know for a fact I have joined mumble.

If you are muted & deafened or it counts it as you not being there - also, the current bans were retroactive since mumbility was initially introduced.

I haven't been banned, but I've gotten a mumbability count even though I was in the mumble. I never mute or deafen myself either.

Luop- Here's my profile: http://rc.tf2center....561198065300200

How do I go back and give you all 117 lobby numbers? I'd be glad to.

Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:52517236

Like Kino, never muted or deafened myself. It's pretty stupid that y'all would pull a Valve and not make sure the feature works before pushing it out to the players, but w/e.

I can report the same error. I join mumble every game and last night I noticed I had 1 marked against me. I know 100% it was not legit.
