TF2Center is changing the feedback system in the suggestions and bug report sections of the forum. Users who have posted new topics recently may have noticed that all topics now require approval from a moderator before they can be viewed publically (see picture below). This is to avoid duplicates of suggestions/bug reports and also to keep track of new ones.

Important!

If you submit a suggestion or bug report that is rejected by a moderator then this usually means it has already been suggested and a moderator will private message an explanation and a URL link to the relevant thread.

A guide on how to write a good bug report can be found here

Tag system

We have implemeneted a new tag system which will track the progress of all bug reports:

  • Completed: The bug has been fixed or the suggestion has been implemented.
  • Declined: The suggestion will not be implemented by the developers or the bug is not on our end or out of our control.
  • In progress: The suggestion or bug has been acknowledged and the developers are working on it.
  • Scheduled: The suggestion or bug has been acknowledged but it will be not implemented in the near future
  • Under review: The suggestion or bug is currently being discussed by the developers and a decision will be made soon.

If you think a topic has been incorrectly tagged or you have any questions then please send a PM to a moderator or an admin and they will be able to help you.

Rating system

You can now rate topics out of 5 stars by clicking on the appropriate number of stars in the top left corner above the topic page (see picture). Please use this system to rate an idea in the bug report thread from 1 to 5 stars as this will help  the developers know which problems they need to prioritise.

We have frequently been getting 'bug reports' that are not valid and basically just a user needing some help with a problem. Please be aware that a bug means that an error, flaw, failure or fault in TF2Center's services that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways. This is a rare occurrence as we try to keep up to date with maintaining our site. Most of the time, it is NOT a bug, but just a problem the user is experiencing.

On the other hand, problems such as not being able to connect to the TF2 server/Mumble may be Valve related or your own computer. Before posting a bug report, try troubleshooting the problem yourself by restarting Steam/TF2/Computer/Mumble and validate game files. This usually fixes 90% of problems.

If you continue to request help, please use the Community Support forums located here: https://forums.tf2ce...munity-support/. We would be more than willing to provide assistance.

Thanks
