Hi all,

It's come to our attention that our rules are so in depth that they cause more problems than they solve. Players argue technicalities on rules and want to know exactly which ones they've broken, etc. As such, we've decided to go down another route, where players are expected to follow the spirit of the rules rather than the letter. The rules have been drastically re-written to reflect this, and we encourage reports on our forums about players that are deliberately and repeatedly going against these.

Similarly, we'll be moving part of the ban requests forum to be more private. Too many posts in there descend into arguments that too much time is spent moderating a forum post, rather than the actual issue at hand.

We, as the development team, are putting more trust into our moderators and the admin team to make the right calls, and we trust their judgement. We will be keeping an eye on things to make sure we have consistent ban lengths, but so far the decisions they have made don't give us any cause for concern.

These rule changes will be evaluated over the next few weeks to make sure they're having the desired effects.

I'd like to take this time to publicly thank the moderator and admin teams (I won't call out names for fear of offending), but we wouldn't be where we are today without you guys!
