As close as. It's a 10 year ban. You'll have to wait for Some_thing to explain in more detail.
Why do mathematicians confuse Halloween and Christmas? Because 31 Oct = 25 Dec!

10 years is the "perma ban" for TF2Center. Most are moved to 1000 year bans by the staff.

You'll have to wait for Some_Thing for more details. All he posted was that you were banned for "mimicking system messages". If I were to guess, you were saying stuff like "Lobby 178368 Closed: MATCH_ENDED" or some other system message.
