Whenever I join a lobby and after starting the game, the game sometimes randomly times me out during setup or I get an error message "Not in Lobby" and disconnects me. Please research this severe bug. I am running a Mac 10.7.4

Hi.

I joined a lobby as pyro sub and instanly tried to connect.

Everytime i tried to connect i got the message "Disconnect: Only Lobby players may enter this game.".

I even restarted TF2, but still the same result.

 

Lobby Number was #171027

 

 

I already played a large number of lobbies as sub, but this is the first time i get such an error.

I joined lobby #192544 as a sub, but when I tried to join the server I got kicked with the message "Only Lobby players may enter this game."
The server address was: 77.111.197.10:27015

 

I was logged in to TF2Center with the same Steam account as I was trying to join with. On the lobby page, I could even see my status go from "Out of game" to "Connecting..." for a brief moment.

 

I tried reconnecting many times, including relaunching TF2. All with the same result.

There is my story, was browsing looking for a game. Then i see a game were missing a medic, i join in the lobby but then he don't Connect. Reconnect say "Only lobby players can join this game" then i left and i had a ragequit. Can you please take it off ?

Then happened 1-2 day ago. I go to lobby who missing 1 medic and then after i enter and tryng to connect to the game it says "Only lobby members can join" and i got a ragequit.

I've just experienced it with TF2Center Lobby #201011

Joined as a sub pyro, got "Only lobby members can join".

Happened to me in lobby #445407. 

 

I entered the info in to console around 30 times after the reconnect did not work.

My DSL modem (a fritz!box -.-) decided to call it a night and lost dsl connection during a match. When the connection got back up, the website reported me as still being in the game, and whenever I tried to rejoin the game, I got the ominous "only lobby players may enter this game" message. The game in question is: #208330 .
 

Little addition to the original post: After getting !repped out of the server (couldn't rejoin for a whole 20 minutes!!)  I could then rejoin the server with no problem. How weird is that?

Thanks for the site as well as eradicating this bummer of a bug :-)

Generally this happens when a server is used for a lobby, then used again without the previous lobby ending.

In other words, it's something the serveradmin of the used server must fix? Some config change I presume?

I was a substitude scout in lobby number 211998, and when i tried to join an error message said "only lobby players may enter". Not only i could not join the lobby i wanted to, but the team i subbed for left without a scout, and it even affected my reputation, even though i wanted to join. (September 11; 9:11 PM; UTC+01:00)

I've had this issue a few times in the past but this is the first time I've remember to record the lobby number

I subbed in for a spot and it gave me : Disconnect: Only Lobby players may enter this game. in game

I hard refreshed the page to make sure I didn't join in at the same time as another.

Sometimes there are multiple subs being taken at once, so one is connected to the lobby page but isn't actually a sub.
