Hi everybody!

I have been playing TF2 for a while now and got interested in competetive play.

Since I don't have enough buddies who are interested in forming a team and also currently not the time to practice regularly in a clan or sth, I was hoping to find some sort of lobby system for TF2. (I was a big fan of the old ESL gather system back in the days)

That's when I've found tf2center and I thought I've found the perfect website! Unfortunately, I haven't played the required 500 hrs on my account yet. That's why I wanted to ask if there is an alternative to tf2center for players like me.

Is there some website or discord server or something like that where I can find matches without such restrictions?

Would suck to just grind pub games for hours and hours. Ofc I could also learn sth from them too, but I think I would enjoy more serious games a lot more.

Would be cool for the TF2 community as a whole if there was a way for players, who are not quite as experienced, to get in touch with the "competetive scene" (outside of the shitty matchmaking the game itself offers).

I'd love to hear from you guys!

Bests

(I hope there was no similar post to this one. I didn't find one at least!)

i don't know any real alternative honestly but you could try doing mixes with comp people, that's better than lobbies if you think about it : )

There aren't any lobby site alternatives, but there are PUG groups. They're like lobbies but instead of a site interface, you just discuss everything in voice and connect at will. IronPugs drafts players so you have to get picked, I don't know what newbie mix does because I've never done one.

Is 500h really that much to get a basic understanding of the game?
