Hi all!

At some point in the next few days, we're going to put out some changes to how reliability is calculated, and wanted to share the details since I'm sure there will be questions.

The current calculations are based on the number of lobbies you've ever left as a percentage of the number of lobbies you've played in. This can be misleading for all sorts of reasons - one of the key ones brought up is that having a 95% reliability over 1000 lobbies means nothing for what you're doing right now, and if you left a few lobbies at the start of your TF2C playing career they reliability is hit much harder.

To address these, we're trialling using only your behaviour in the last X lobbies you've been involved in - either from the start, or as a substitute. Initially, we will make it simple by using the last 10 lobbies, but this number is subject to change. Suggestions for future use include using a sliding scale, so the most recent lobbies affect the numbers more than older lobbies.

This stat will still be presented as a percentage. The aim is that reliability becomes a more reliable (excuse the pun) measure of whether someone is likely to quit a lobby early.

Please leave feedback on our feedback forum so it is kept in one place.

Cheers!
