Every time we ban somebody from a lobby they just redirect to the main splash page and usually end up asking why they got banned in chat. If lobby leaders had a way to perhaps give them a pop up explanation and lobby leader name like the

"This lobby is located in ___________" popup, it would help immensly.

"You have been banned from Lobby #________ by ______ for "_______________"

Well currently you just ban them for the lobby, without a reason. Lol

I see that many players concerned about sudden bans/kicks from lobby after being in this lobby for a decent time. Although I believe the lobby leader has a full administering rights in its own lobby (just read the big header in "Create lobby" panel) and may kick and ban people without explanations and given reasons (though we encourage everyone to be polite and friendly and do not abuse this feature), situation slightly changes after players invest a lot of their time while waiting in lobby to start.

So here is my proposal. How about to disallow the banning and kicking players after 15 minutes in lobby? We just can hide the ban/kick buttons after a certain period of time. This way we will respect leader privileges and the time invested by players. Thoughts?

Yea precisely. But obviously there should be a reason such as somebody with a terrible Mumbility, horrid chat or maybe you and them just don't get along; whatever. I just feel it would be better to notify them privately instead of having them telling the entire global chat they got banned and how terrible the leader's personal hygiene is.

When you say "in lobby", do you mean after lobby has launched?

Why do mathematicians confuse Halloween and Christmas? Because 31 Oct = 25 Dec!

You mean "waiting in lobby to start"? Probably "waiting for lobby to start" would be more correct. Anyway we are talking about waiting on a website before launch.

This sounds good, but there is no time limit for douchebags or trolls to start acting up. Just a couple days ago I banned a guy from my lobby, we had been waiting 5-10 minutes or so, but his "joke" about raping white women got him the boot

In the same vein of most privately-owned TF2 and Mumble servers, I suggest that the lobby host is given the option (possibly the necessity) of writing a simple text post that informs both the players of a given lobby, TF2C personnel, and the player in question the reason for the host's decision to kick or ban. This message could potentially be seen as a "You have been banned from this lobby, Reason: X" message for a banned player in question. This effort may help to improve communication and lessen confusion between lobby hosts and their participants in the future.

Ive seen this issue come up many times. People get kicked for no reason when they are waiting for the lobbies to start or there is a reason and they do not know! How about the lobby leader who does the kick has to provide a reason which will then pop up to the user whom got kicked.
