I've been playing TF2 since the Deus Ex update (so for two and a half years) and show no sign of stopping. I main spy, but I try to offclass, mostly to get lobbies started. I have lived two years and Paris and two in San Francisco before that (and in France even before that). I played two UGC Steel seasons (Season 6 and 8) and one ETF2L as a backup. I don't play in a team anymore because I don't have time. That's why I love TF2C, I get to play comp without providing to much of a long term commitment. I tried playing on TF2Lobby, but that was an awful place. I played a bunch of lobbies and probably enjoyed none. I played a bunch of lobbies on TF2C and just about enjoyed everyone of them. I don't play nearly as much as a I wanted because of said time issues, though this should change due to how much less work I'll have to do in the coming months.

I've been hanging around the site since the first beta that went on for more than a weekend. Not to suck anyone's behind,  I honestly love TF2C. It's not perfect, and I hope to help improve it. My parents are computer scientists (human-computer interaction to be specific), so I picked up a bunch of knowledge on the subject from them. I don't seriously know any programming languages, but it seems a bunch of other members have that going.

One thing I'd to like to look into is the dynamics of starting lobbies. How hurtful is it to have mutliple lobbies of the same map? Does the mumble icon detract people from joining a specific lobby? What does the spectator count really mean in terms of getting the lobby started?

It seems that answering these questions by looking at the stats could provide interesting ideas to make the overall lobby starting experience better (I almost sound like an HCI researcher!). I already have a couple of ideas, some of which I  pitched to Foxy, to perhaps speed up the lobby starting.

About my SteamRep status. Too make a long story short, I accidentally +repped a guy who happened to be scammer (which apparently makes me a scammer). I talked to an admin, and basically there's no way to prove I'm innocent due to circumstances. If I cared about trading that much, I'd get an alt account. I don't, so here we are.

Hopefully I can add to the TF2C team through some of my ideas. I really care about this website, its the kind of thing the TF2 community needs to thrive.
