Idea/Suggestion Type:
Lobby creation
Description:
Hello, I would have a suggestion. The suggestion is to clearly define Flank and Pocket Scout on the lobby creation page and the page where you sign up for a lobby.

While more experienced players and players with good gamesense can normally play and it doesn't harm the fluidity of the game, players with less experience or no experience at all have trouble with positioning. I've run across countless scouts who decide to get on the flank while both me (the other scout) and the Roamer are on the flank while the flank is not being stacked, leaving the Demoman undefended.

I've had a scout do it even after I clearly mentioned I'm pocket Scout (despite playing more on the flank for my actual 6v6 team), and when I went to the flank since he was on the combo, he went to the flank too, leaving the Demoman all alone in pure rage.

I am well aware that scout is supposed to be a flexible class in 6v6, going where he is needed, but there should still be a "default", which can sometimes be hard to agree upon, especially in non-Mumble required lobbies.
Pros/Cons:
One of the main pros would be that there would be less cases of combos being left without a pocket scout. Most people default to flank scout, and while double Scout flank is viable, roamer+scout flank is more common in most maps and adding an additional Scout while the roamer is still up can sometimes result in underpowering the combo which is more crucial.

There is a clear definition of Soldiers too, who can, in some cases, also be interchangeable, although less. They are clearly defined for convienience's sake, although I would say it is also something that can be agreed upon later and "sensed out" because I've also seen players playing roamer when they are signed up for pocket and the other soldier flexibly changing. I do not see why Scouts should not be defined, most teams in 6v6 do define them including ours.

A clear default definition would help players who are newer or less experienced in 6v6 understand the flow of the game better, which is what I believe TF2Center aims for? It will also void arguments and the necessity of a verbal agreement before each game.

The cons would be that some maps see double-scout flank as more viable, best example koth_product_rc8 . This also requires the Roamer to understand that and maybe to possibly offclass to Sniper for more utilization.

The final con would be that this can all easily be communicated and coordinated with Mumble requirement. But not all 6v6 lobbies are Mumble required, and even then, having defaults to fall back to can prove useful.
