Hi when running lobbies in Aus I have noticed that TF2 lobbies doesn't exec the needed configs. I uses UGC and Ozfort configs but still does exec I have to do it manually. Is this normal or is it a code error?

The config side of things are executed just fine, it's the whitelist that isn't being executed properly by the looks of it. I'm waiting to talk to someone from TF2Center regarding this to see if any changes recently might of caused this.

I'm looking at this now.

OK, whitelist issue should hopefully be resolved. Try it out and let us know :)

I'll Test it when l get home. But Some_Thing the whitelist is executed when the config is. So your configs are probably not scripted right?

Eg:

// ozfortress winter league koth config (updated 14/9/2013 by ferelah)

exec koth
exec 6v6

mp_maxrounds 5
mp_winlimit 3
mp_tournament_whitelist cfg/whitelists/owl.txt
mp_tournament_restart

say - ozfortress owl10 koth modifier loaded -

Edit: Confirmed - Whitelists are executing properly now

TF2Center handles the config, it sends all the commands via RCON. Hence why a server can be completely void of any competitive config and still work. That's the whole point of TF2Center, to make it easier to run pugs where you are not expected to know server commands.

Executing the configs again is just redundant, as the TF2Center configs are lifted straight from OZF configs. As such, my servers don't have any competitive configs on them for simplicity. I can add them on there if people really want to execute their own configs, but that again is defeating one of the purposes for using TF2Center and I also wanted to stop anyone with the details from using them for their own purposes outside of pugs. Admitidly there was an issue with the whitelist which having configs on there would of solved, but I'm working very hard to change the way pugs work in Australia for the better, and adding configs now in my opinion is a step backwards. We need to learn to trust TF2Center's systems to do it right for us (I do already)

It's just burnt into everyone brains that when they run a pug they need to know rcon commands to execute the competitive configs etc. TF2Center changes this so barely any administrative overhead on the players part is required. I'm sure once the system becomes more used for everyday pugs, people will get used to the way it works for lobbies.

The only thing required on the server is the whitelist file as TF2Center can't send that via RCON commands.

I'll get some lobby numbers for you this afternoon when I'm pugging.

I think this was sorted with the latest round of config changes?

Should have been. Turns out the version being used was not the most recent version I sent. But should be fixed now.
