Bug type: Lobby page
Lobby ID: All.
Date & Time: -

So basicially, I joined a slot and wait the lobby to start. Meanwhile I open other lobbies see if I can steal another slot.
Accidently, I open the same lobby again. I just close it cause I see it's the one i'm already in. But when I close this page. I will get removed from my slot while I'm still on it on the other lobbypage.

Happend several times to me already. I guess it's not really a bug. But it's annoying tho.

Thanks.

ZeroHero,

Will put this up for dev review.  Seems to make sense.  Nice catch.

Hello TF2 Center Folk,

I'm wiritng today to explain a bug that I believe exists.

This bug that im talking about is when i get autokicked from my own lobby / moved to the spectator.

It doesnt announce a kick, but it moves me to spec.

This causes problems because as we all know - lobbys are often tke a decent time to fill (5-10 mins).

So usually I go browse the internet or do something else while I wait for the tell tale "WHOS NOT READY?!?".

I usually when i get auatokicked is when im unaware browising the internets. Meanwhile my lobby is full and my slot is reserved and the crowd is furioos with "wtf admin why isnt ur slot filled" etc....

I just wasted an hour or so of ppls lives because of this issue.

Obviously the fault is partly my own - by not having my lobby tab promoninently open.I had forgotten about my lobby creation in this instance and was dependent on the "WHOS NOT READY!?!?!" to bring me back. but because i got autokciked or moved to spec for whatever reason i never knew and forgot......

So basically this issue is multiple in this case

#1 - has anyone else experienced being kicked from the lobby / moved to spec

#2 - I should pay more attention to my own lobbys creation

#3 - Is there an alert that can be made to the game creator - to alert that all slots are filled except a reserved slot = If (#1) is indeed a bug.

Thanks and I hope im no fool. I'd like to hear others thoughts.

Firstly, I encourage you to use the teacup button. If the lobby ready's up before the timer runs out, you'll automatically be considered as ready.

Otherwise, the issue is that I don't see how he could be alerted in a more meaningful way that the heavy's subtle "WHO IS NOT READY". A message poping up would be pointless because if the leader's on the page, he'd see the issue in the first place.

I'll bring this up next staff meeting.

yeah - I think my main point is that I get (unknowningly) moved to spec in my own lobby when im off browsing another tab. I never get a chance to hear the whos not ready because the lobby wont ready because of the slot I reserved (upon game creation) to myself is empty because of the move to spec issue.

And im not talking about a message - im talking about an audio alert simialr to the heavy alert - but in this case to alert the game creator to signal "*attn* hey your games ready but your reserved slot is not filled *attn*"

ideally thought - I should never be removed from my own lobby right, which is what causes this whole problem. I join my slot upon game creation and assume all i have to do is wait for the "WHOS NOT READY" but sometimes i comeback and im in spec and the game is full - i can obviously join my reserved slot which I do, but I dislike how i wasted so much of ppls time.

Thanks for reading TheMattgician ur a good dude.

Well when you are moved to spec, you must hear an initial "WHO IS NOT READY". But this is still a valid concern, alternatively if the leader is waiting for friends to join.

I think it makes sense for even a lobby leader to be subject to getting moved to spec when not readying up.  This saves all of the players that join 5m for inactivity !rep.  I mean, even lobby leaders go afk.
