Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long will this process take?
A: Up to a week. A team of admins reviews each manual case individually, and looks beyond typical acceptance criteria. Certain players that are "on the bubble" may take a little longer, as additional input is gathered so that informed decisions can be made.
Q: Should I be patient?
A: That is up to you. Our admin team is pouring through thousands of requests. It can be a slow process.
Q: Does donor play into this decision?
A: Many or most donors are interested in helping the community so there is a lot of overlap. For sure, the TF2C community as a whole is thankful to them. No, being donor is not going to get you into AL based on that fact alone.
Q: Where can I see if I have been approved or not?
A: Here: http://forums.tf2cen...-qualification/
Q: Should I be adding MasterNoob or other mods when I get impatient?
A: Please don't; we're dealing with piles of applications, make it easy for us and use our forums ;-)
Q: When I'm on that list, I can just start playing AL's?
A: No, you still need to take "the Advanced Lobbies Pledge": http://tf2center.com/al/signup
Q: Apparently my app got rejected, but I can't look at the response as the forum that it is in doesn't allow me access. Any way I could see it?
A: Sorry, you can't. All applications are for an admins eyes only.
Q: What additional things are considered other than comp experience and TPL rankings?
A: Prior bans are looked into, especially ones regarding conduct. A large amount of lobbies played with a high reliability can help the decision. Being toxic to the community as a whole will weigh the decision down and being helpful and constructive can help the decision.
