Idea/Suggestion Type:
Lobby creation
Description:
I'm aware that this was added at the community request to avoid new players bringing down the overall skill level, but I think it should be removed.
Pros/Cons:
Pros:
Allows new players to play in a competitive environment without needing to play TF2 for 3 straight weeks. Players who don't want to be matched with these players can join servers with playtime requirements, and players with less hours can join servers with other, less experienced, players and learn better.

Cons:
None.

Your pro's do not outweigh the cons in any way.

I'm not quite sure how to feel about this response. I personally believe that accessibility is key to being the best service. I love the service you provide, but it isn't accessible. A friend of mine wanted to play comp with me, but he only has ~50 hours. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be allowed to play in lobbies with other less experienced players. Our game is slowly dying, and locking a huge part of it (comp, since your site is one of the best and few that do it) behind such a huge playtime requirement (he doesn't have 500 in any game on Steam, and he's been playing for 6 years) isn't allowing new players to see what we have to offer. And there is literally no downside to this. Your site will get more people using it. People who wanted this 500 hour requirement can put it on their lobbies, and people who are newer or who are okay with helping and teaching the newer players can create lobbies without it.

Have you thought about clueless players screwing up Lobbies?
Have you thought about alts?

You're suggesting that we should settle for mediocrity because our numbers are dropping? Does that also mean we should allow drop-outs to fly our planes, because there are not enough pilots? Dude, you should hear yourself...

If you want to play with your friend, I'm sure Valve has lots of variations to offer for a player < 500 hours.
